Born 1961 in Thiou of Yatenga Province, she works as a teacher while performing in films by Idrissa Ouédraogo including YAM DAABO (1987), YAABA (1989) and TILAI (1990). Assita Ouédraogo also co-starred in THE PROMISE by the Dardenne Brothers and in THE PLACE IN BETWEEN by the Franco-Burkinabe Sarah Bouyain.
